Assembling Care Bags
Care bags are the collection of essential items we place inside each suitcase. We prepare the care bags ahead of time.
Often, we receive as many as 120 suitcase requests at a time from CASA volunteers across the state, so it's important to have the care bags pre-packed and ready to be placed in a suitcase!
Contact us by filling out the form below if you or your group is interested in pre-packing care bags, making no-sew throws, or volunteering in other ways at our Love on Wheels facility!
no-Sew FLEECE Throws
Children of all ages love their "blankies." Blankets provide a sense of security, and many children carry and keep them for years.
We assemble no-sew fleece blankets in three sizes for the children. (Please click here for several videos on how to make easy, no-sew fleece blankets.)
We are currently in particular need of dark, solid-colored throws in the following sizes:
40”- 50” x 60”
60” x 60”
Plan your own event at our facility! Bring wine and appetizers to make it fun; or, have some friends over in the comfort of your own home for a blanket-making party. Either way you will be creating a gift of love for these children.
